Should the UK remain in or leave the European Union? - University of Portsmouth

TEAMGlobal in cooperation with the Centre for European and International Studies at Portsmouth University organised a very well attended, informative and exciting conference focusing on the upcoming EU referendum at the University of Portsmouth.




The conference took place in the Milldam Building LE 1.01


Speakers:


Brendan Chilton, General Secretary of Labour Leave, put the case for a leave vote.


Dr Paul McVeigh, former lecturer in Politial Economy and European Studies. Expert on the political economy of the EU


Councillor Gerald Vernon Jackson, spoke in favour  for a remain vote. Gerald has been a Liberal Democrat councillor in Portsmouth since 2003 and was Leader of the Council from 2004 to 2014.


Professor Mike Mannin, Director of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence for the study of a Transnational Europe at UoP.
