The University of East Anglia, in collaboration with TEAM Global, would like to invite Year 12 and 13 students to a special student conference comparing the British and American electoral systems and democracy.
Co-hosted by the University of East Anglia’s School of Politics, Philosophy, Language and Communication Studies, and TEAM Global, this event will enable Year 12 and 13 students to discuss key issues relating to the UK and US elections and democracy in preparation for the forthcoming American elections.
Battle of the Ballots is a day-long event designed to allow students the opportunity to discuss key topics surrounding the upcoming American election and how this compares to the British elections with academic experts. The event will be split between talks by experts in the morning on key themes and then after lunch students will have the opportunity to discuss further issues in groups before presenting their arguments to their peers.
